이 앱은 아이가 종이 그림책의 페이지를 사진으로 찍으면 글자를 인식해 소리내어 읽어주는 앱입니다. 만드는 사람은 JudeVentures입니다.
이 앱은 계정이 없고, 회원가입이 없고, 광고 네트워크를 쓰지 않으며, 분석 도구를 넣지 않았습니다. 앱 자체에는 인터넷 권한(android.permission.INTERNET)조차 없습니다.
1. 앱이 저장하는 것
아래는 전부 기기 안의 앱 전용 저장 공간에 저장됩니다. 다른 앱은 읽을 수 없고, 갤러리나 사진 앱에도 나타나지 않습니다.

앱을 삭제하면 위 내용은 기기에서 함께 지워집니다.
2. 사용하는 권한

이 앱이 요구하는 권한은 카메라 하나뿐입니다. 위치, 연락처, 마이크, 저장소, 전화번호부는 요청하지도 접근하지도 않습니다.
3. 기기 밖으로 나가는 것
솔직하게 두 가지가 있습니다. 둘 다 사용자가 끌 수 있습니다.
① 읽어주기에 쓰이는 글자
이 앱은 소리를 직접 만들지 않고, 안드로이드에 이미 설치된 음성 엔진(보통 “Google 음성 서비스”)에 글자를 넘겨 읽게 합니다.
기본 설정에서는 더 자연스러운 고품질 음성을 사용하는데, 이런 음성은 기기가 아니라 해당 음성 엔진 제공자의 서버에서 만들어집니다. 즉 읽어줄 페이지의 글자가 그 서버로 전송됩니다. 전송하는 주체는 이 앱이 아니라 음성 엔진이며, 그 처리는 해당 제공자(대개 Google)의 개인정보처리방침을 따릅니다.
끄는 방법: 앱의 부모 설정에서 온라인 음성 사용을 해제하면, 기기 안에서만 동작하는 음성만 사용합니다. 이 경우 페이지의 글자는 기기를 벗어나지 않습니다. 음성 품질은 다소 낮아집니다.
② 안드로이드 자동 백업
안드로이드 기기의 백업 기능이 켜져 있으면, 운영체제가 인식된 글자와 설정(library.json)을 사용자 본인의 Google 드라이브에 복사합니다. 기기를 바꿔도 책장이 남게 하기 위한 것입니다.
페이지와 표지 사진은 백업에서 제외했습니다. 사진은 기기에만 남습니다.
이 백업은 사용자 본인의 Google 계정 안에 있고, 만든 사람은 접근할 수 없습니다. 끄는 방법: 안드로이드 설정 → 시스템 → 백업.
4. 수집하지 않는 것
- 이름, 이메일, 전화번호 등 어떤 개인 식별 정보도 수집하지 않습니다.
- 계정을 만들지 않고, 로그인을 요구하지 않습니다.
- 광고 식별자(AAID)를 포함해 어떤 기기 식별자도 읽지 않습니다.
- 사용 통계·분석 도구(Analytics, Crashlytics 등)를 넣지 않았습니다.
- 위치 정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
- 제3자 광고 네트워크를 쓰지 않습니다. 앱 안에 나오는 안내는 이 앱의 유료 기능을 소개하는 자체 제작 화면뿐이며, 외부로 아무것도 보내지 않습니다.
- 어떤 데이터도 판매하거나 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다.
5. 결제
유료 기능을 구매하는 경우 결제는 Google Play가 처리합니다. 카드 번호를 포함한 결제 수단 정보는 이 앱이 보지도, 받지도, 저장하지도 않습니다. 앱이 보관하는 것은 “유료 이용 중인지 아닌지”에 해당하는 기록뿐입니다.
구매는 아이가 혼자 진행할 수 없도록 보호자 확인 절차 뒤에 있습니다.
6. 어린이 보호
이 앱은 어린이를 주 사용자로 하며, Google Play의 가족 정책을 따릅니다.
- 어린이로부터 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
- 맞춤형·관심기반 광고를 표시하지 않습니다. 외부 광고 자체가 없습니다.
- 앱 안에 외부 웹사이트나 소셜 미디어로 나가는 링크가 없습니다.
- 결제로 이어지는 모든 경로는 보호자 확인 뒤에 있습니다.
7. 방침이 바뀔 때
내용이 바뀌면 이 페이지를 수정하고 상단의 최종 수정일을 갱신합니다. 수집·전송 범위가 늘어나는 변경은 앱 업데이트와 함께 안내합니다.

This app lets a child photograph the pages of a paper picture book; it recognises the words and reads them aloud. It is made by JudeVentures.
There are no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising networks and no analytics. The app itself does not even hold the internet permission.
What the app stores
All of it in app-private storage on the device, readable by no other app and not visible in the gallery: photographs of covers and pages, the text recognised from them, book titles and page order, and settings such as reading speed and chosen voice. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Permissions
Camera, and nothing else — used only when the user presses the shutter, to photograph a cover or a page. No location, contacts, microphone, or storage access is requested.
What leaves the device
Two things, honestly stated. Both can be switched off.
1. Text sent for speech. The app does not synthesise audio itself; it hands the text to the Android speech engine already installed on the device (usually Google Speech Services). By default it prefers the higher-quality voices, and those are produced on the provider's servers rather than on the device — which means the text of the page is sent there. The sender is the speech engine, not this app, and that processing is governed by the provider's own privacy policy. Turning off online voices in the app's parent settings keeps the text on the device, at some cost to voice quality.
2. Android Auto Backup. If device backup is enabled, the operating system copies the recognised text and settings to the user's own Google Drive, so a shelf survives changing phones. Page and cover photographs are excluded and stay on the device. The developer cannot access this backup. It can be turned off in Android Settings → System → Backup.
What is never collected
No names, email addresses or phone numbers. No accounts. No device or advertising identifiers. No analytics or crash-reporting SDK. No location. No third-party ad network — the only promotional screen in the app is our own notice about the paid features, and it sends nothing anywhere. Nothing is ever sold or shared.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Google Play. Payment details never reach this app. It stores only whether a paid entitlement is active. Every route to a purchase sits behind a parent gate.
Children
This app is intended for children and follows Google Play's Families policy. It collects no personal information from children, shows no personalised or interest-based advertising, contains no links out to websites or social media, and places all purchase paths behind a parent gate.
